Tranzmeo IT Solutions Recognised at AVINYA Startup Challenge for AI-Based Fiber Sensing

Tranzmeo IT Solutions

Kochi: Tranzmeo IT Solutions secured the 2nd Runner-Up position at the AVINYA Startup Challenge during India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, which concluded in Goa after four days of discussions and showcases centred on innovation, energy security, and sustainability.

The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and technology developers from across the global energy ecosystem.

The AVINYA – The Energy Startup Challenge is a national platform under the Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives that recognises emerging startups working on technology-led energy solutions.

At AVINYA’26, Tranzmeo IT Solutions was named 2nd Runner-Up for its artificial intelligence-based fiber sensing applications designed to enable real-time monitoring of pipelines, wells, and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) infrastructure.

The award was presented by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Petroleum Ministry Secretary Neeraj Mittal.

The honour was received by Tranzmeo CEO and Founder Safil Sunny and Director of Business Collaborations Rakaesh Misra, marking a significant milestone for Tranzmeo IT Solutions at a national-level startup platform.

Tranzmeo IT Solutions: AI-Based Fiber Sensing for Critical Infrastructure

The platform developed by Tranzmeo IT Solutions analyses acoustic and thermal data collected through fiber-optic sensing systems to detect anomalies such as leaks, intrusions, structural damage, fires, and other operational risks.

The solution is intended for deployment across large-scale infrastructure including oil and gas pipelines, railway networks, subsea cables, and perimeter security systems.

Fiber-optic sensing technologies such as Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), and Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS) enable optical fiber cables to function as continuous monitoring sensors across long distances.

These systems typically operate without field power supply or electronic components along the sensing path and are designed to function in varied environmental conditions.

Through this approach, Tranzmeo IT Solutions aims to enhance monitoring efficiency and risk detection capabilities for critical infrastructure operators.

AI Threat Intelligence Platform Trained on 4,000 Km Data

According to the company, the AI threat intelligence platform by Tranzmeo IT Solutions has been trained using datasets compiled from operational activity across approximately 4,000 kilometres of infrastructure.

The company also indicates that its software can be deployed over existing fiber sensing installations without requiring changes to the underlying fiber infrastructure, enabling scalability and cost efficiency.

Tranzmeo IT Solutions is backed by Shell plc and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and focuses on AI-led monitoring solutions for critical infrastructure.

The recognition at AVINYA’26 during India Energy Week 2026 highlights the startup’s role in advancing technology-driven solutions within India’s energy and infrastructure ecosystem.
